What products does VanBeton.com offer?
We specialize in producing, selling and renting high-quality concrete products. Our range includes ballast blocks, New Jersey barriers, benches and plates for the events sector, megablocks and concrete slabs for storage boxes and ground preparation. We’re also specialists in custom-made pieces.

Are your products certified?
Yes. Our products carry NL-BSB certification. This means all raw materials we use undergo quality checks on receipt, and that our concrete shows no leaching. We also meet the minimum concrete quality required under the Dutch soil quality regulation (Besluit Bodemkwaliteit). This certificate confirms that we offer clean, quality products.
Who are VanBeton.com's products suited for?
Our customers are highly diverse: event organizers and subcontractors (such as tent rental companies and stage builders), construction firms and contractors, the agricultural sector (manure storage, farmyard paving, enclosures) and industrial businesses (dividing walls, storage, facility protection). In short: anyone who needs concrete blocks, slabs or barriers can rely on us.
Do you only deliver within the Netherlands?
No, we deliver across Europe, especially in the BENELUX region and Germany. Whether your project is in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Cologne or beyond, we’ll find a transport solution. Of course, you’re also welcome to collect your order from our facility in Weert.
How much do VanBeton.com's ballast blocks weigh?
We offer ballast blocks in various sizes and weights, standard from 120 kg up to 1050 kg. If you need a special size or weight, we can always look into the available options. Depending on your project (tent, stage or other structure), we’ll advise you on which ballast block type suits it best.
Which ballast block do I need for my tent or stage?
The choice depends on the specific structure, its size and the wind load. We always recommend following the tent supplier’s manual or the stage’s construction plans. Our experts can help you interpret these specifications and choose the right block. Get in touch with us for this.
Can I rent ballast blocks, or only buy them?
We offer both options! For one-off projects or a fixed events season, renting is usually an economical and flexible choice. For long-term or permanent use, buying tends to make more sense. Ask us about our rental and purchase terms.
Can I customize the ballast blocks with my logo or a color?
Yes. Our concrete blocks and benches can be produced in color and personalized with your own logo or other add-ons. This way, the ballast you need for safety compliance also becomes an active advertising surface during your event. Ask about the available options when requesting your quote.
How do you safely move a heavy ballast block?
Safety comes first. Our ballast blocks have fork pockets and must be moved exclusively with an approved forklift, pallet jack or block clamp. Important tip: always insert the forks straight and level into the pockets, never at an angle. Note: the lifting eyes on the blocks are primarily anchor points and generally shouldn’t be used for hoisting unless expressly authorized.
How high can I stack the ballast blocks?
It depends on the block type and the firmness of the ground (a level concrete surface is preferred). Examples of maximum stacking heights:
- B500 kg block (80x80x40): maximum 6 layers.
- B1050 kg block (80x80x80): maximum 4 layers.
- Fork-pocket / podium block (160x80x40): maximum 8 layers (with interlocking ridges)
What are megablocks and what are they used for?
Our megablocks are large, often stepped concrete blocks, ideal for building temporary or semi-permanent walls. Applications include: noise barriers on construction sites, security enclosures at events, agricultural fencing and storage perimeters in industry.
How do you stabilize a megablock wall?
Stability starts with a firm, as level as possible base (for example concrete or compacted ground). Depending on the megablock type (e.g. 40×40 or 80×80), there are maximum stacking heights. For an 80×80 cm megablock wall, the maximum safe stacking height is, for example, 5 rows. For taller constructions, we recommend consulting a structural engineer; we can arrange this advice for you if needed.
How is a quote priced?
The price depends on the product type, weight, quantity required and whether you choose to buy or rent. Delivery location also plays a role, since transport and, where applicable, placement are factored into the calculation. Through our quote request you’ll always receive a clear offer with all costs included.
What are your payment terms?
New customers pay before delivery. For regular customers, we apply a 14-day payment term after delivery, unless otherwise agreed. For large projects or custom orders, a deposit may be requested. You’ll receive the exact terms along with your quote.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Our rental periods are flexible and adapt to your event or project. Get in touch with us to discuss the options and terms for your specific rental period.
Who is responsible in case of damage to rented material?
Our general rental terms apply to all rentals and set out liability in the event of damage or loss. You’ll receive these terms along with your quote and rental agreement. Feel free to contact us beforehand if you have any questions about this.
What are the delivery times for ballast blocks or megablocks?
Thanks to our own production plant in Weert, we have very short delivery times. For standard products, delivery is usually available within a few days. For large projects or custom orders, we’ll agree a specific schedule with you.
Do you handle transport to my location?
Yes, of course. We offer a full-service approach: we arrange transport to any location within BENELUX and Germany. We deliver by crane truck, truck with built-in forklift, or flatbed. We’ll agree with you in advance which type of transport will be used for delivery.
Can I order just a single unit?
Absolutely! We’re flexible and deliver starting from just one unit. This makes us the ideal partner for both small jobs and large projects.
Can I collect the concrete blocks myself?
Yes, that’s possible. You’re welcome to pick up your order at our facility in Weert. This can work out to a better price, since you handle the transport yourself. Just let us know when requesting your quote if you’d like this option.
What safety points should I keep in mind during use?
- Moving: always use suitable, approved equipment.
- Placement: make sure you have a stable base.
- Stacking: stick to the recommended maximum heights.
- Instructions: always follow the structural engineer’s specifications and our manual.
Can concrete products be stored outdoors?
Yes, our concrete products are perfectly suited to outdoor storage. Concrete is an extremely durable material, resistant to all weather conditions such as rain, frost or sun. For stable stacking, we recommend a flat, compacted base with good water drainage to prevent localized settling. Note: as with all concrete products, natural aging (discoloration) can occur during outdoor storage. This doesn’t affect the strength or functionality of the blocks.
What does VanBeton.com do for sustainability?
We believe in the future of circular concrete. We’re constantly looking for ways to make our products and production process more sustainable, for example by using recycled materials. Our products are extremely durable and reusable, which reduces waste. Renting is, by its very nature, an environmentally conscious choice!
